Ponder Enterprises, Inc., headquartered here in
Donalsonville, opened their 38th Hardee’s restaurant near Flowers Hospital in Dothan on Tuesday.

The restaurant is the fourth new restaurant opened by the company in the past 24 months.  That is in addition to 13 remodels that have been completed in existing locations during the past year.
The company’s first restaurant was the local Hardee’s in Donalsonville which opened 1984. Since that time, the company has steadily grown to its current footprint in Georgia, Florida and Alabama.
Ponder Enterprises, or PEI, was founded by brothers Dan and Ernest Ponder. They currently have development rights for the Hardee’s brand in 40 counties in the Tri-State area and employ approximately 1,500 employees.
“We are pleased to have built this Hardee’s in 77 days”, Ernest Ponder stated. “It has the latest technology including a kitchen layout designed for operational efficiency.”

“We have been blessed with many great employees, some of whom have been with us for decades.
We could not enjoy our success today without these loyal,
dedicated partners”.

- Dan Ponder

Dan Ponder thanked the many employees that have helped the company grow and operate at its current level.
The company plans call for a continued expansion including four new restaurants and over 20 remodels during the next couple of years
