New park manager has plans to put the festive back into Seminole State Park festivities

Seminole State Park has a new park manager and he invites you to join with him in his efforts to make the park this area’s number one destination for family fun, natural resource educational opportunities, fishing, hunting, water recreational activities and a whole lot more. Lupe Lazarine hit the ground running, dressed in full red, white and blue for Tuesday evening’s Fourth of July Celebration, his first official activity since being named park manager. Lazarine plans to reach out and involve and engage the entire Seminole Community in his plans to put the festive back into the festivities at the Seminole State Park.

Lazarine is originally from Dalton, Georgia, where he graduated from Dalton State College with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Belhaven University.  He was an assistant manager at Dalton Parks and Recreation where he was heavily involved in creating and overseeing programs for the facility. He has also worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice and Department of Family and Children Services.

After acclimating himself to the area and the community, he hopes to bring positive change and see to it that the state park continues to prosper. He plans to introduce new programs that will include activities for all ages. Lazarine states, “I am very passionate about helping people and building bridges to unify people with natural resources.”

He is joined by his wife, Debby, and their two children, Rylee and Kaylee.
