Donalsonville and Seminole County are well represented with a high quality and visually pleasing newspaper. Showing my home town paper to my big city friends is now a weekly pleasure. Keep up the good work. Wesley Carroll

I would just like to comment on our hometown businesses. I have read in the Donalsonville news many times about supporting our hometown businesses which I do every chance I get. But it is very frustrating to go into some of these businesses and they act as though they are doing you a favor and you are bothering them. Now my latest frustration is I am trying to get a new roof and can not even get anyone decent enough to come when they say or even give a courtesy call as to why they are not doing as they say. If a person's word is no good then I surely do not want to do business with them. So as of now I am looking out of town for a roofer. And I surely will not be giving a good word for anyone I have contacted who can't be courteous enough to hold to their word.

I'm currently looking to open a business in Donalsonville. My questions are plenty, but mainly is the population steady, growing or declining? Is the economy growing, declining, or stagnant? What are some of these projects that the local government is talking about concerning this sales tax extension that was passed? I recently visited the town and county, and liked what I saw.

I would like to take a moment to thank the men and women of Three Notch EMC for their tireless commitment to keep our power going. I know that lots of folks have them on speed dial as soon as the lights flicker. I make it a habit to rarely call about power outage but to call the hotline as soon as the power comes on(which it always has) every time and thank the operator and to thank those that stopped what they were doing or got out of bed and repaired the outage. My hats off to you employees of EMC
